Instagram To Insta-rich: Facebook and the Billion Dollar Buyout!

April 13, 2012Uncategorized

We at King Content have posted many a blog about how to get and stay ahead of your competitors. We’ve dished out lots of advice, from going mobile to using content marketing in getting ahead, but we must have overlooked the most effective method of all…

What is it? Why, just give them $1,000,000,000 of course!

Yes it appears Facebook’s competitor Instagram was becoming too big for it’s boots. It was rapidly becoming a major competitor for Mark Zuckerberg and his army of fans and it needed to be stopped. Since it’s birth in October 2010 it has been downloaded by more than 30 million people.

What Facebook wants, Facebook gets

Facebook wants people using its mobile app to share their photos and their whereabouts – something Instagram users are doing with ease. Instagram is everything that Facebook wants to be – on your mobile phone. The photo-sharing app allows users to customise photos on their smartphones and tablets by adding special effects and tints. This is all done in a matter of seconds before the images are uploaded to the person’s preferred social networking sites.

Just imagine being an employee of Instagram right now. Actually don’t do that – you’ll only upset yourself. That little group of nine have all become overnight multi-millionaires following the company’s much talked about $1 billion takeover. The CEO himself, Kevin Systrom, at the grand old age of 26 will net an estimated $400 million. Oh that is upsetting – but not for him (the lucky ******!)

So after all of our advice, it appears all you need to do is buy out the competition. But if you don’t feel like doing that right now, don’t worry, King Content will still be your #1 source for tips and tricks in staying ahead of the game!
